2. Services Provided & Disclaimer

We offer professional bookkeeping, account reconciliations, and financial reporting services. Important: These services do not constitute legal or tax advice. Hess True Balance Bookkeeping is not a law firm or a licensed tax accounting firm. For specific tax filings or legal planning, please consult a certified public accountant or a licensed attorney.

3. Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for providing all necessary bank access, receipts, and supporting documentation in a timely manner. Our ability to provide accurate reports depends on the data provided. Delays in information delivery may result in deferred bookkeeping deliverables.

4. Accuracy of Information

Hess True Balance Bookkeeping relies on the documentation provided by the client as accurate and true. We do not perform audits or forensic verifications on the source data. The responsibility for the ultimate integrity of business records remains with the client.

5. Payment and Billing Basics

Fees are defined in your individual engagement letter. Invoices are issued electronically and are due upon receipt. Hess True Balance Bookkeeping reserves the right to pause ongoing services if an account remains unpaid past the agreed-upon terms.

6. Cancellation and Rescheduling

Ongoing services may be terminated with 30 days written notice by either party. Advisory appointments should be rescheduled at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a nominal administrative scheduling fee.

7. Limitation of Liability & No Guarantees

Hess True Balance Bookkeeping makes no legal guarantees regarding business profitability or audits from tax authorities. Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the services rendered during the specific period in question. We are not liable for incidental business losses.

8. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Carolina, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action related to these terms shall be handled exclusively in South Carolina courts.
